The Pioneer Valley Cappella (PVC) is a Northampton-based auditioned ensemble that has been performing unaccompanied choral music for nearly thirty years. We explore a fascinating range of repertoire; from early Renaissance to contemporary, the Americas to Eastern Europe.

Our conductor, Geoffrey Hudson, is an internationally-respected composer who brings his understanding and love of music both to rehearsals and to programs. For more about Geoff, visit http://www.hybridvigormusic.org.

Our concerts generally take place two weekends a year. The spring 2017 program, "Russian Harmonies," features Stravinsky's Symphony of Psalms, together with works by two lesser-known composers; and will be performed Saturday, May 6 at 7:30 PM at Grace Church, 14 Boltwood Ave, Amherst; and Sunday, May 7, at 4:00 PM at Edwards Church, 297 Main St, Northampton. Free will donations will be accepted at the door. For details, visit our concerts page.

We rehearse at the Northampton Community Music Center. We will audition experienced singers again in the fall - for details, visit our Audition page. If you are interested in attending one of our concerts or joining our e-mail list, please contact us.
