The Pioneer Valley Cappella (PVC) is a Northampton-based auditioned ensemble that has been performing unaccompanied choral music for nearly thirty years. We explore a fascinating range of repertoire; from early Renaissance to contemporary, the Americas to Eastern Europe.

Our conductor, Geoffrey Hudson, is an internationally-respected composer who brings his understanding and love of music both to rehearsals and to programs. For more about Geoff, visit http://www.hybridvigormusic.org.

Our fall 2018 program, "The Ways of Zion Do Mourn: a Funeral Anthem for Queen Caroline", is dedicated to HWV 264, the work of the same name by George Friedric Handel. Performances are 7:30 PM Friday, November 16, 7:30 pm at Grace Church, Amherst; and 7:30 PM Saturday November 17, at Edwards Church, Northampton. For details, visit our concerts page.

We rehearse at the Northampton Community Music Center. We will audition experienced singers again in the fall of 2018 - for details, visit our Audition page. If you are interested in attending one of our concerts or joining our e-mail list, please contact us.
